Bed and Breakfast Statenkwartier is a bright new initiative of Diederick and Marlien.
We like to travel and that’s how we discovered how nice it is to stay at a nice bed and breakfast.

BB Statenkwartier is a small and cozy Bed & Breakfast in the highly international Statenkwartier neighborhood. The Hague’s main museum, the Gemeentemuseum, as well as the beach and the bustling shopping area of the Frederik Hendriklaan are all within walking distance. City center and central station are at a leisurely 10 minutes through the nearby public transport.

Guests get access to modern facilities, including internet, and the host is well-versed in The Hague’s culture and events, and can provide you with directions when needed. Surf and beach Scheveningen
Sun, surf and beach are the natural attractions of Scheveningen. Hike or stroll down the endless beach, passing by terraces and trendy beach clubs, each breathing its own identity and atmosphere, together forming the Scheveningen life-style. Experience the surf fever on the Scheveningen south beach or kite surf and dance the night away on the trendy Scheveningen north beach. Whatever you like, there is never a dull moment in Scheveningen.

 

 

Harbour of Scheveningen
Around the corner of BBStatenkwartier is the harbour. Here you find yachts, fishingboats and and fishrestaurants. This is the place to relax on a sunny day. This is also the startingplace for wreckfishing on the Northsea

 Gemeentemuseum

Hendrik Petrus Berlage (1856-1934) was the foremost pioneer in the field of modern architecture in the Netherlands.
He built the Gemeentemuseum which is 100meters located from Bed and Breakfast Statenkwartier.

The Gemeentemuseum’s modern art collection provides a fascinating overview of developments in painting and sculpture over the last two centuries.

The complex of historic interiors includes a set of rooms representing different periods and a covered courtyard.

 

Peace Palace

 

 

The Peace Palace in The Hague is home to a number of international judicial institutions, including the International Court of Justice (ICJ) or World Court, the Permanent Court of Arbitration (PCA), the renowned Peace Palace Library, as well as the Hague Academy of International Law, which attracts law students from all over the world every summer.

 The Peace Palace is one of the most photographed landmarks of The Hague and is accessible to the public through guided tours.
